The Council on Foreign Relations-Ghana, an independent, nonpartisan and nongovernmental institution, specializing in Ghana’s foreign policy and international affairs, will launch its official journal, The Baobab, on Tuesday, January 28, at the Accra International Conference Centre.
A statement issued by the Council and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the 120-page maiden issue, with the cover titled “Remembering Kofi Annan”, is dedicated to the memory of the Ghanaian-born seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN).
It said the Council’s first annual report for 2019 would also be launched at the event.
It noted that the guest speaker at the occasion would be Professor Henrietta Mensa-Bonsu, President of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences, who is also a member of the Council and was a Deputy Special
Representative of the UN Secretary-General Mr Ban Ki-Moon in the UN Liberia Mission.
